Maglor - The Eyes of his Mother

So I finished a painting, wooh!  

It's Maglor, and as the second son I'm painting it seems I may actually do them all (tho I shouldnt say it out loud because thats always what jinxes me)... I at least wanna paint Celegorm as well! (and Caranthir and Curufin.... and Amrod and Amras.... but who's counting? )

I am surprisingly happy with this (yes I screwed up the background, because backgrounds and aquarelle is freaking hard) and it was very fun to do it somehow how i imagined. I have no idea what the red is, I just really wanted to highlight his eyes with warmer color to symbolise how he is the one most similar to his mother, in mood anyways!^^ I don't really have much connection to him as a character (maybe because I am too occupied with being in love with Fëanor to even begin to notice his sons yet) but I really wanted to paint him, and I have a thing for harps (which I absolutely adore here!!)

(And I wanted to paint him using Hugh Dancy as an inspiration, even though I really messed up the nose and mouth and it doesnt look anything like him! )
