Description

Personal portrait of Fire:

.. just so that it would come across that he is not Archer! x)

I really HATED this idea, because it was basically impossible to get on the paper... this is the first time in a long time i have tried to draw one scene 3 times before success!

I thought this scene was just soo heartbreaking in the book, though Brigan obviously understood that she didnt mean it! It was powerful, as was the entire book! I finished it yesterday, and cant wait to start on Bitterblue. hihi, i said i would draw some fanart from this book! x)

Anyways, i have somehow started this IMPOSSIBLE way of colouring which takes like 3 times as long, but it basically helps with drawing it without smudging so bad! I am horribly pleased even though there are SO much wrong here, and i fail at proportions when i use my A3 paper, it seems, so this looks SO much worse scanned than in real life, i think! x)

She is leaning towards the wall, so thats the line anyway, and the bandaged hand is hers, but i know it looks a little off... I loved his face more than hers, but they are far from how i would have wanted them to be, both of them!

Well, give me some feedback please!^^

This is beautiful! I love how detailed the shading is, expecially on their faces and the fabric folds on Brigan's shirt. The shading is so smooth and precise, it really makes this drawing come together and it looks FANTASTIC. The fact that you also drew them in profile view makes this drawing really stand out. Profile is more often than not a very difficult position and yet you drew it flawlessly, with such detail it takes my breath away. The only thing that comes to mind is Brigan's head is bent at a seeming awkward position/angle, and his ear seems a tad small even though it is covered by hair. But really this piece is stunning, the hands are in such complex poses, it all adds to the overall quality of this piece of artwork. I adore the way they he is curled around her, it really makes the drawing more intimate and emotional. Great, great work.
